The executive order's full name: "Protecting the Nation from Foreign Terrorist Entry Into the United States"

Critics call it a "Muslim ban;" supporters call it a "temporary travel ban." Unless you were in a hole this weekend, you've heard a lot about it. I recommend at least skimming the order's full text, to feel more informed and less hysterical; it's not terribly long. Then GO GO GO!

Be sure to mention:  Your profession, if relevant ("I'm a teacher and am worried about how this will affect my students"); your religion, if relevant, particularly if you can legitimately use the word "evangelical" ("I'm an evangelical Christian, and this sort of exclusion is antithetical to my faith"); any relevant personal or family history ("My grandparents immigrated here from...").

ATTEND A REFUGEE-SUPPORT RALLY in your area. Here's a live list.

Find a refugee or immigrant support organization in your area, and call to offer volunteer work (several hours? A day?). Stipulate that you'd be happy to do grunt tasks (cleaning, filing, whatever) so their regular employees can deal with their growing mountain of work.
