You've probably heard about the press conference yesterday. HOO BOY. It seems to me, as a Novice Active Citizen, that when the president speaks extemporaneously to the press, I should listen, because there might be something important there. But watching video of him speaking costs more minutes and emotional energy than I have ever possessed...so I've taken to reading the transcripts. Still requires Lamaze-style breathing, but it's an improvement.

The White House Briefing Room website is, unfortunately, not always immediately updated—but in this case, it does offer a transcript of yesterday's press conference. I'm assuming that it's accurate, which might be foolish. ! !! !!!
